Here is an Alternative Hook up for JDM Mirrors
This is the way i hooked up my JDM mirrors on my 91 civic EF9. I did it this way cause i did not have a JDM switch or the relay box. Big pics. May take a bit.http://reycingproductions.com/jdm/mirrors.html
That's one good post. thanks for the info.
I am not good with electrical diagrams, so could you elaborate a bit on the wiring of the relay? If the mirrors fold with the engine on or off, what is the switch for?
Also, why do you have 2 + wires going to the relay?
What do you mean by switching the wires if the mirrors don't fold, which wires?
Thanks a bunch.

The switch is to fold the mirrors while the engine is on. Like if you wanna show off and fold them while driving or at a stop light while someone is looking at you. And then they say, "what the hell?!" and say "that **** is tight !" I had that said several times.
When you find the red and black wires that control the folding and when you originally hook the mirror wires to the relay, your car is off, the mirror should be folded closed. But if they open, and your car is off, switch the wires and they should be folding close.

Allright, but now, why do you have two power cables (+)
The one on the left comes from what, a 12 volt supply whith the key on, like a switched power. and the other on the right is what, constant 12 from the battery?

there would be one 12V coming from the switch and one constant 12V coming from the battery, that way when the switch is turned on, the 12V from the switch goes to the relay and turns on the main circut to turn on, causing the mirrors to fold. so one powers to activate the relay, ones to fold the mirrors
I believe this is how it is set up

That is exactly how it works. One polarity is at one end and when it is switched the relay activates and polarity is swapped the other way and then folds the mirror.
