what manual steering racks will bolt into DB7 chassis? 94-01 Integra 4dr nonvtec
ok i removed my ps belt when i was installing my new header and i love the steering feel and the extra tiny bit of throttle response i got...question is now i want to remove the entire ps assembly, the pump the lines everything...is there another honda rack that will bolt right up or is there a way to modify the stock power rack to work right with nothing hooked up to it and not shoot ps fluid all ove your engine?
I think the 92-95 civic will fit, no sure. I dont think there's any 94-01 integra without p/s.
i was told that also but it seems like it would make more sense that the 96-00 civic rack would be the right part since the two are basically the same chassis
anyone know what that rack might go for
anyone know what that rack might go for
actually, the 92-95 and 94-01 integra are more similar to each other than the 96-00 civics.
i just wanna know if anyone has done this so ill know if the mounting positions line up as well as if the tie rods and such all match up
Personally, I'd like to replace my P/S with the electric power steering rack from the newest Honda Civic or Insight. It'd give some power assist at low speeds and none at high speeds, and would improve power and mileage too.
A few magazines criticized the new SI becuase of it electrical power steering rack. They say it gives a numb feeling and less feedback.

Really? That's weird. Having an electric motor to provide assist should make it easy to program any profile desired. Also, Honda also uses EPS on the newer NSX models, and I doubt anyone criticizes that car for numb steering. Maybe they just programmed the Si's steering with too much assist...
