tires spinning through first gear
I have noticed this winter when the temperatures are below 30 and I try to open up my car, my tires always start to spin once I hit 5k rpm. I have completely let off the clutch too and started to gun it from about 3k rpm. It is getting a little annoying and I have new S03's so I know traction isnt the problem. I have i/h/e and kenjis ecu. It only does it in 1st gear vtec and then 2nd and 3rd gear are fine. The car seems to pull extremely hard in 2nd and 3rd and it feels like it would in 1st gear too but the tires always spin. I make sure that tires are warmed up too. Thanks!

hmmmmm....might want to check how much snow is on your tires before you go burning up asphalt in the winter

i think your problem is technique. you say that you drop the clutch, but instead of just dropping it, u should ride it and feather it. i launch my itr at 6500 rpm and try to obtain as much traction as you. at the track, my technique was good enough for a 14.64@95.3mph @ pomona and a 14.7 @fontana. s0-3's also, with stock high suspension.
in the colder temperatures the ground is really really freezing, so the tires just slide right over it, give you no traction. also, you might want to check your tire pressure, try lowering it a couple of Psi to gain some traction.
Why are you driving ur car so hard in the winter anyway?
