I thought there was a post a while back about other car's seats going into a lude, but I couldn't find it....

I've bought a set of blue and black seats out of a '01 Celica GTS in perfect cond. w/ the stock rails and all. I'm just wondering has anyone thrown these in a 4th gen lude before? I think someone said they had, and it sits a bit lower, but feels much better. Just wondering if i need to mod the rails any to fit, and if so, how and where.

 

I've got the same question except I'd like to put NEW CIVIC SI seats in mine. Help anyone.

Since you've bought them already, why don't you give it a try and and let us know?

I seriously doubt that a Toyota Celica is going to have the exact same floorpan and mounting holes as a Honda Prelude. So some modification will likely be needed. Let us know how it works out and how much work is involved...

they should fit, but you hafta you use your stock brackets. because the seats are mounted differently but both is sht esame size.

 

word....only way to find out is to try, its kinda unlikely that anyone has tried this, Im sure you will have to mod something.

 

That was the post i was lookin for....hehe, forgot I had posted in it! The only way I can put the seats in my lude is IF i get the thing back; it was stolen, and if i get it back, there's a good chance it will be wrecked, ort stripped of the seats/rims/suspension/maybe motor/tranny/ecu, or all of the above. If i can't get the lude back, I'm gonna try to make the seats fit in my Superbeetle! Now THAT's gonna be fun....

 

I feel 3rd gen seats r more comfortable with adjustable lateral support compared to 4th gen seats.
