Anyone know how much a 5th gen stock trunk lid weighs?

 

while on the subject, any news on the cf trunk lid for the 4th gen???

 

Actually...I am getting my trunk shaved this week coming up and the mold will be made.

HOWEVER, I got the 5th gen trunks today!

educated guess=about 20-30 pounds?? i mean, if the carbon fibre weighs in at 15 pounds then the factory lid cant weigh that much more.

basatrd!!! that's cool as hell, i can't decide it i want one or not. what do you do about the keyhole and latch??

 

You open it from inside your car, or install an Accord Trunk Popper.

You attach your own stock latch to the CF trunk, as explained in the description.

 

Just curious from looking at the pics. . .what is the inside made of? I know it says a "CF inlay" or something like that in the item description, but the pics are kinda vauge. Is that skeleton on the inside CF (or fiberglass), or metal? I don't see any CF weave, and it looks really shiny.

 

It's fibreglass...there's just some cf in the center...

Satan you go through another company for the trunk lids and soon the spoilers correct? If so at how much cost to the company and you. I guess what I'm trying to ask is is it possible to get the CF sheets on your own. though some might not have a pressure oven. I would love to mold smaller peices of my car(interior bits; *****, switches, buttons, etc.) if i had access to the CF. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I thought I'd never live to see the day. That's amazing, if my car was BLK I'd be all over that. Silver car with black trunk lid; silly, BTW the trunk lids do weigh a lot.
