that hatch looks nice , my buddy has a CRX and took off his carpet looks dirty

 

I kinda cheated ..... that was after the change from red to Suzuka Blue.

Like everyone has said, when I pulled the carpet up the paint was dirty, faded, and stained by metal that had been under the carpet. One thing about the paint under the carpet- often it is only like one decent coat and possibly no clear coat, so if you start scrubbing too hard to clean it the paint might start coming off too. When it was red, I just took a wet cloth and scrubbed all could and vacuumed up any dust.

 

I took mine out because it had holes and it was staind and origionaly blue. I got sick of the bare metal so I cleaned it with a carpet shampoer and painted it black. 100% better than it was.
