Default can anyone help with my lighting problem?

I have an 88' Si, and for some funny reason.. when i turn on my lights all the way (where front lights flip up ), my interior dash and tail lights are off. but if i turn on lights only halfway (front head lights are not on aka parking lights mode) then my interior dash and tail lights are ok. What could be the problem? Fuse? Or is the light switch gone bad? Some guy knocked on my window @ 3AM when i was at a red light and told me about the tail lights! If it wasnt for him, i'd still be driving around! Has this ever happened to anyone??

Real good chance that with a 15 year old car the switch has seen the end of its life. I assume that you have done a visual of all the lights in all switch positions. Since everything works otherwise-go ahead and replace it.

thanks. I see you are also from PA. Do you by any chance know where I can get a used one around here? Or can you at least tell me how much they run for used or new? I'm a poor college student! I need my car to last another year, so I don't want to invest too much into it! Thanks!
