Default 93 Accord code 6

My 93 Accord is idling erratic in neutral or park. The rpm's fluctuate between 1000 and 2000 rpm's. I checked the computer code and I see a code 6. I replaced the colant temp sensor under the distributer and the problem still exists. Any other suggestions? Also, the green D4 transmission light flashes at various times. Anyone have a clue as to why?
Thanks

i had same problem...and yes it is your coolant temperature sensor. If you tried replacing that, make sure your plug from the harness is on it good too and snug fit. And don't forget to reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery or taking out the ecu fuse. Good luck.

oh yeah and there is TWO sensors under the distributor...u sure its the one on the left you replaced? (the one closest to the firewall)???

I had that code 6 on mine as well, and what happened was one of the wires on the connector had corroded and broke off right flush with the connector, so obviously, it wasn't making contact. Cut off a new connector at the junkyard and spliced it in there with a little extra wire so that it wasn't so tight, and it worked like a charm. I also replaced both sensors while I was at it. Just something maybe worth a check

Did you bleed the air out of the cooling system?

You probably replaced the wrong coolant temp sensor...there are 2, one in the side of the block and one in the rear water housing...also check the plug connections themselves, they really are junk...
