ok, here goes, a couple days ago, i was cleaning my engine with some engine degreaser, and when i was hosing it down with water, i got a little water in the spark plug holes, started it up, and it ran real crappy and threw a code, i cleaned out the water, and reset the ecu, the car runs fine again, but then my idle is weird now. it, idles at about 900, but when you rev it, or give it a little gas, it comes back down to about 800 or so, then jumps back up really fast to about 1500, then after about 10 seconds or so, it slowly goes back down to about 800. it's like the engine is revving itself, well, none of this happened before i cleaned the valve cover, so i am thinking it has something to do with that. i also tried lowering my idle with the idle screw but no effect. has anyone else had this problem before? thanks for the help.

check and make sure there isnt any more water in the other plug connections.. i had this happen to me in a 91' integra.. what i did was get a high pressure air, and disconnected the plugs and aired them out. that might help you some. good luck

 

its been about two weeks now, i doubt that the water is still in there. cuz i been driving it around. it's not a big problem, but it's annoying me, what do you think? i got it to idle at about 800 now, but when you come to a stop or let it idle, it jumps back up to 1500 real quick and goes back to 800 in about 10 seconds. also sometimes, it idles at about 1000, and other times it idles at 800.
