Well I was drinking beer with Splat and Keith (previous owner of #1035) and I mentioned a planned trip to cali to visit my grandfather soon. They brought up the possibility of a drive.....


anyone done it? Ed, you did right? any thoughts? any we-todds interested? would this spring or summer


Rob- who wants to see his country up close , as well as the Cali f00s and his families patriarch(spelling Mr. Knighton?)

 

I recall Ed doing this for the first expo and I think I read somewhere that he's doing it again right before expo 03?

When are you going? Was thinking of visiting my uncle in Ventura, CA and a friend in grad school at UCSB.

My idea was drive out, spend a day or two with him, then 'tour' cali to visit west-todds

chris- when......hmmmm.....no time soon, i need to get a part time job and build up a stash, I forsee this adventure getting very very expensive

 

Rob - let me know, I'd rather not fly out there, it's no fun and if y'all are going to see the california we-todds, AND I could visit my uncle and old college friend, that's much better than sitting next to some fatty on a plane ride to LA. I'd be up for a drive out there fo shizzle.....

X-country trips aren't that bad at all. I've driven from ATL to Seattle and I took my merry time getting there. (5-days) I stopped at a few national monuments along the way and it was fun.

Long trips are only fun is you don't have any time constraints. Rushing to drive over 2,000 mi is silly... you miss out on some awesome scenary and weird things along the way.

I've gone from Cali to Louisiana, Louisiana to Wisconsin and back to Louisiana then back to Cali.
