Looking into buying a set of Skunk II original cams which the guy says is the same as stage 1's. User name is B16GSR. Are there any quality differences between the two if this is an older set?

So, the original Skunk2's and the Stage 1's are the same, or do they have quality issues which would make one better than the other? (Not sure which question your Yes applies to)

specs are the same. thats all i can say

 

just make sure it's not a set from the first batch of the original cams. they caused some bigtime problems.

 

Is there anyway to tell the difference besides taking the sellers word for it?

Ive heard bad things about those also. I wouldnt risk it.

 

I kinda doubt a set from the "first batch" is still floating around!!

Though dont take me word for it!!

if it is a set from the first batch then don't buy it as my friend got a set from the first batch when they came out and it damaged every rocker arm in the head. Skunk2 replaced all of them though and gave us new cams but he just sold them.
