That looks great, sleeving a d series is serious commitment...

when the block comes home from golden eagle, are the pistons ready to be installed, or does further prep work of the sleeves need to be done?

just wondering, because that's alot of meat between the pistons compared to a stock block...

When you get the block back from GE, there is some machining involved. And other things to check before building up the motor.

 

can you give them your exact tolerances for them to do the final sleeve finish, if requested?

Hey Dave,

Yes this is a GE sleeve job, i paid $700 through viren..

The block is not finished machined yet, i have to have the bore matched to my pistons...(75mm,stock bore 8:1 arias)

I beleive that these are the newest setup from GE as these do not have any of the nasty looking silicone hanging from the bottem of the sleeves,like i have seen in the past.....


This block looks really good in person and the workmanship is great, so no matter what everyone else is saying about them, i think there work is awesome.
