Civic with 88 Integra 5SP ECU
Hi, my friend wants me to get him a 1988 Integra 5-SPD ECU. I asked him why he wants it and he said this:
"so i can have a rev limit of 7500 rpm and it will also give me better performance"
is this true????

Yeah, the 88/89 Teg ecu does have a slightly higher rev limit, and a more aggressive fuel curve, over the Si. But you may notice you will run a little more richer too.
thanks for the reply, he has a 89 civic HB, and had a 91 Si Motor put in, so that's why he wants to do this.
Were going to be turbo charging his car in a few weeks, but does anybody have any recomendations/suggestions for giving him more performance and when adding a turbo setup, if anybody has any input on that.
thanks

He should save up and get a Hondata if he is going to boost. That way it will be a custom map just for his car and will do all the turbo work as well. It may cost some $ in comparison to just using a stock ECU and some fusl management electronics, but overall it will be safer and more efficient.
