Default Can someone confirm this: YS1 gearing = ITR gearing

Is the gearing in the YS1 tranny the same as the USDM ITR gearing?

Knowledge is power.

EDIT: The B17 had better gearing than the ITR does.

YS1 casing lable comes in 3 different tranies: 1) USDM LS 2) 92/93 USDM GSR (smilar to ITR) and 3) JDM B16a (exactly as ITR gearing)

be mindful of which YS1 you have/talking about ...

What is it about B-series transmission gear ratios? It seems like every time I see a table, the results are somewhat different. For insdtancve, this table lists fifth gear on a USDM B17A YS1 as being .880:1 while other tables list it at .848:1. The .880:1 figure is typically given for the JDM YS1. Also, the B18A YS1 is typically shown to have a final drive of 4.266:1 rather than 4.40:1. On the other hand, the B18A S1/A1 is typically shown to have the same ratios as the B18A YS1 but a final drive of 4.40:1.

actually everything you just said is CORRECT !!!

problem is the label casing ... YS1 in particular has 3 different gearsets ... also the b17a 5th is 88 and many road racers upgrade to that for tighter 5th gear cause thats what they need in road racing ... I must have had a good 5 orders for those last year alone.
