Default OT: old school CRX turbo dilemma

I don't know what I want to do with them.
Sort of mix and match, 85 and 87 CRX Si's, running 87 RS Teg parts car, and turbos for both.

But which power package in which car?

Or just use the header on a hybrid swap with the Quaife in the 85 CRX Si, and get a weld-in Kirk DeLuxe cage and required safety gear!?!?!

Put the parts on A car... you've got a few to choose from?

j/k

<-- Cliff who has bugged Ed about his "old parts" once before.

Sure, I also talked to Mike at SpeedNation last weekend.
He's got loads of 1st gen parts and is looking for that ZC turbo.

I guess it depends on what you want to do. If you’re a solo guy go for the 85 SI and put the turbo on the 12 valve motor they also love boost they have a low compression ratio to start with, the motor also weighs less then the twin cam and will work better in the corners. if you want a drag car, use the 85 si put the integra motor in, then turbo that. But just watch out how much psi your running.
87 Si's weigh about 150 lb's more then a 85si.
the brakes and all the suspension from the integra both front and rear will fit the CRX. Email me if you want. Website below

Thanks, for the insight.
Nice site too.

I'm leaning heavily towards putting the twincam in the 85 with the turbo, since I have a Quaife for the teg tranny, and due to the lighter weight, spoiler, 140 mph speedo and no HCMSL.

Mostly for a daily driver and occasional roadcourse car.
I tend to do a lot of highway miles as well.

Damn I love 85 CRX Si's!! One of my best friends got a black one back in 1989, man we had a blast in that thing for years. I had an 85 "S" at the time, man I could not believe the power difference in the PGM-FI motor.

Just put the best of what you got in that one
