Will something like this pass tech inspection?

If not, any ideas on what to use? I saw one that mounts to windshield with safety strap, but that doesnt pass scca racing.(does that also mean it won't pass itr expo inspection?)

I don't have a cage so the I/O mounts are out of the question.

I would say no, but you never know. Your instructor might not like it.

I have run with a similar mount. Perhaps if your instructor doesn't like it they wouldn't mind if it was on your seat.

just duct tape the camera to the roof right above the windsheild

 

The bar that goes across the C-pillar is a camera mount / harness bar from Stable Energies (this model is for a Porsche but it fits perfectly). This gives a good picture because it can get your head, guages, and out through the front window no problem.
