Autocross Video... interesting camera angle.
The Video - 10megs
We used a camera mount from conecam.com to film this. Watch how the tyres fold in and out.
Also, if you slow it down... you can see how close I get to the cones... kinda interesting.

You gotta remember it doesn't snow here. And aside from last weekend it barely ever rains.

then I tested it on my car in the paddock and it didn't budge (i run v700s and have far more "traction")
The camera was angled like so to capture how close I was getting to the cones and to see how the tyres flexed (which helps with tyre pressures). Next event, I plan on having two cameras going at once for each run (we get 10-14 runs each day) and will compile a pretty interesting video.
Love the video! And i hate you for the fact you autocross with 10-14 runs year around *looks at 3 inches of snow outside*I can understand the camera being pointed down like that, little different aspect on your line. My camera sit where the passenger headrest is so you really can't tell all that much. Eh, next year hopefully i'll have a roll bar and I can move the camera closer to me. Can't wait to see the next one.
Northeast SCCA Philly Region<- thats my division they hold the races around the areas i listed, um location switches every event. So basically if your in for points you have to travel around to each event, not to bad. $20 if your a member and $25 if not a member.. so if your a regular the membership is worth it basically. you get 4-10 runs on course pending on how many people are there.

was gonna ask your setup, though. it looks like you have a LOT of shock/spring movement because the camber begins to change drastically as you get into the video and more of the turns..

Intrax Springs (they are soft... really soft)
Disconnect front bar (which is why there's a bit of suspension travel/body roll)
Koni Yellows (they are a bit old... they need to be rebuilt)
I want to get a lipstick camera and film the suspension in action. I was watching a NASCAR event where they had a camera installed facing the suspension and brakes. During the braking areas, the brakes turned flaming red... cool stuff.
Where is the camera mounted? Is it a suction type mount? I just got a window mount and did some video for a class but I wanted to get the camera further away from the car to get the wheels in action, which it looks like you were able to do. Sweet.
go to http://www.conecam.com
they got the suction mounts like he has..
yeah, you need to update that setup!!! hahahaa j/k..
ugh.. we need to have a battle of the SM2 crx's next year.. maybe i'll find time to drive all the way to Nevada... or maybe not. that's a long drive.. i'll meet you half way in indiana for the F1 race!!

i'd get kicked out of SM2 so fast.
no interior, no wipers, no a/c, no heater, no SM2. I tried to run it with a friend who has a mildly modified Z32TT. He wanted to beat me in the class.

damn.. ok.. D mod challenge! hahahaaa. i'll just have to "Prep" my car to D mod specs.. hahaa. i don't think that's happening untill i get a daily driver.. which will most likely end up being a G-stock prepared 90-91 CRX Si..
