Hi guys,
I wanted to know if anyone here is running a Moroso 5.5 quart oil pan. I am trying to find a used one that I can tap a oil drain into, but if all else fails I'll just get a Moroso.
I was thinking about buying a new oil pan from Honda, but what is a good price for a new oilpan?
And also, what have you guys heard about the Moroso oilpans? do they hang lower than stock? are they prone to cracking?
thanks

try using a 4th gen, they are easier for the turbo oil lines than the 5th gen
if that helps at all...

SilverLudeSi,
Are the stock ones really that inexpensive?, I thought they were $200+ I'll have to check with my local dealers to see how much they are.
Also do any of you guys know if the tranny needs to be cut for the oil pan to bolt up?

i've got one, i've got no problems, just use Honda bond, just like Honda recomends to use on the stock pan, just be careful on the drain plug, i striped mine and had to helicoil new threads
did you end up having to cut anything to get it to fit? someone on po.com told me he had to take the shield off and cut through some tranny pieces with a hacksaw?

Wassup matt!!!
I remember you =D, so you were able to bolt up a 4th Gen oil pan to your 5G no problems? I guess that means I can post another WTB ad, this time stating that I'm looking for 4th and 5t Gen VTEC oilpans.

COOL!!!
Thanks for the link Anubyss, I may just get the oil pan at my local dealer using the pricing in that link as a comparison. When I order an extra bare block I may get it from that site (that's if I cant find a used one).

I'll actually have one from the spare block to sell as long as it's in good shape. I'll be able to check it out in about two weeks to take some pics if you are interested.
