Default cheap upgrade?

I've already searched on this topic, but no definite answers.
If I put the DX ecu into my STD and remove the restrictor plate will it boost my engine up to d15b2 hp???
Also i got a new tranny and clutch for christmas!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Any reasons why he should dump the D15? Sorry i'd like to know to. You can get vtec and higher copression with just a head swap. I think that's a deal.
