Default droping in a H22

i am looking at droping an H22 into my 1990 honda accord, i know the body is not the greatest, but the engine will make up for it. i was wondering how much this swap may cost me to get done, i know the price for the complet engine tranny and all that, but i was jsut wondering how much it will cost to physically get put in.

It probably just depends on the shop you take it to...Just go to some of the shops around your area and ask

We just did this same swap at our shop, and we charged the customer $700 to put in the engine and $300 to put the block/head/adjust valves/put in cams (it was a built motor and came to us as a seperate block/head) plus all necessary parts.....but he was a close friend of mine and will be representing our shop with a 450+ horsepower car in the near future.....
If we were to do it again, the swap would be $1500 just to put in the motor plus parts expenses, if that gives you an idea....
The car runs/drives like stock, and the H22 should have come in that car in the first place, just be ready for LOTS of extra expenses...
Email me if you have specific questions or need advice/recommendations on some part of the swap ...also, and I can't stress this enough, MAKE SURE THE BLOCK IS NOT AN SH BLOCK!!! The motor we got was an H22A1 built head with a H22A4 SH built block and H22A1 tranny.....they all go together fine, but we had to completely custom make the intermediate shaft bracket and it was a huge pain in the ***..
Good Luck, you'll love the swap!
