Default Winterizing the bike

Got a 98 CBR600, I live in Michigan. The bike is going to sit in a barn for a couple of months, how do I prepare it for winter? I searched and found nothing and you guys always have great advice.

For me

Change the oil
Drain all the gas, if not put gas stabilizer and let the bike run for a few minutes
Remove the battery and connect it to a tenderizer
Put the bike on both front and rear stand to avoid flat spot
Put a cover on the bike to protect it from dust and moisture

That's all I can remember, feel free to add more...

Oil and filter and plugs were all just changed.

Can you elaborate on using the stabalizer? Do I fill it up with 93 Octane first?

And I don't have stands, how do I avoid flat spots?

I think you fill the tank up with gas then add a few drops of gas stabilizer. The direction should be on the stabilizer bottle itself, if I remember it correctly. You can avoid putting your bike on the stands by moving it to a different spot, so the bike won't sit on the same spot on your tires the whole entire time, once in a while.

An addendum to Vtec44's list:

Lube the chain too if you haven't recently. Otherwise, it'll rust on you.
Also, it helps if you wash & wax the bike before you put the covor on, otherwise, if the covor get's blow around, the debris on the paint acts as an abrasive.

If you are going to keep it a barn, I would suggest some sort of rodent repellent.
Mice and other small animals can do alot of damage. Other than that just keep your battery charged and you should be fine.

Okay..

Oil was changed.
Put Stabil in it.
Chain was lubed with WD-40.
Battery removed
Chained to a tractor in the barn
Bike cover is on

I think I'm covered. Except I have to get a Battery Tender to keep it charged.

Any other suggestions?
