Rotor Screws-Where to buy?-Help yO
I just took off my powercrap rotors tonight ,since santa is bringing brembo blanks, completely destroying the 2 screws.---Where can I get these exact replacement screws or is that a dealership part? thanks and Merry Christmas.
What I have seen/read from other posts, that they are really not needed. They were used to hold the disc on during production. However, might just line the holes up, just in case there is any indexing tho..

just go to a hardware store (lowes, home depot...etc) and get a similar screw that wont stick out from the rotor. i cant remember what size it is though 6 or 8 mm? just make sure you use antiseize so you can get the damn things back out again!

i once found them at a local parts store... that was a few years ago though.. they were in the red packages made by Motormite or Help! or something like that.
the blanks are in, i made a christmas illegal junkyard run, ganked the screws(somehow these came right out with WD-40) and I will bed these badboys in in the a.m.
I just dont get why u guys leave em' out, i mean its just that much more holding in place and u never know they could shift....
all those screws are for is making your next rotor change that much harder.

youve obviously never had to take out a rusted rotor screw

So I installed new ones with antisieze compound and the last time I changed them they came out very easily.
i bought a few new ones a couple years back, cost me less than $1.50 for all. And contrary to what most of you may think, you do need them. There is about a mm of side to side play without them in place. True that isnt a whole lot, and wont be enough to throw anything noticably out of balance, but i'd rather pay a dollar than worry about wheel bearings down the road.
if you guyz want to take the screws out the right way, next time try one of these

Impact drivers work wonders
& no, the screws are not necessary to put back on. But if you dont want to sit there stripping screw drivers or screws, and then having to drill them shitz out, buy one of these and make your life easier.
Give it a fat wack with the hammer and the screws spin right out
