Good site for amp reviews
I just bought an alpine 7998. I did not notice that it only had pre-amp outputs before I bought it. I have been out of the car audio scene for about 5 years. I wanted to treat myself.
So now I have a paperweight. I am looking for a good site for reviews. Something like the type that car stereo review used to have. Amp suggestions are also appreciated. Criteria follows:
1. 2 amps, one at least 4x50, and second 400x1 at least
2. Sound quality is important to me.
3. I want the same brand amp for both.
I still have stock speakers right now. I plan on MB Quart 2way components if they fit in the tweeter holes. For sub I am considering a kicker L7 in 12 or 15. Subs will probably be run at 2 ohms.

I have decided on kicker amps. This is my first project in years, and I don't want to break my bank account immediately. I am considering an 800.4, and later a 1200.1 for the sub/s. I would rather spend money on high quality head unit and drivers.
After doing a lot of reading yesterday, I ran across a challenge to differentiate the sound between an expensive and nonexpensive amp when both are driven within normal operating conditions(not overdriven/distorting audibly). The guy who made the challenge, I think it is Clark, is the same guy I remember preaching this 8 years ago when I first got into this. Nobody has proven him wrong yet.
