My friend has a 96+ Civic bought some side markers. Their on with the parking lights and they alternate(on/off) when he turns the signal. II asked him how he did it and he said "just hooked em up that way". Jackass. LOL did he wire a relay on the side marker so that when the signal wire turns hot the relay ungrounds the side marker and it turn off. Then on again after the signal flash? is this possible? I donlt know that much about relays but..?? HELP!!!!! email me chrisir19@aol.com

 

connect one wire to the power wire of the parking lights, and connect the other wire to the power wire of the turn signals. That's all there is to it, but IMHO it looks dumb, just make them turn signals (both wires to power/ground of turn signal).

how does this even function without a ground? do I not need a relay so that the side markers ungrounds and turn off interchangebly with the turn signal? I like the side markers on all the time because looks better and compliments the front amber. My taste I guess, but it would be better if it where a functional turn.

 

well that was simple enough... Kinda a pre-school answer to this one LOL.

To make your side markers work as running lights but also alternate and blink as a turn signal all you have to do is wire one wire to the turn signal and the other to the running lights. The side markers will use the grounds of each wire off the the corner lenses to alternate. Didn't seem like it was gonna work but it did... alternating ground duh!!!
