Sup Yall,
For those of you at whatever level that participated in the Chin event at Sebring this past Sunday 22nd, greetings. I had such a ball. Since this was my first exposure to a performance driving school, I tried to observe the best that I could and LEARN. There was WAY too much to take in on a first day, which is why I was happy I didn't pay to register as a Novice and start that path quite yet. For those of you that are interested in such an event, I totally reccomend it to you. You get to put your car on the track and see its tendancies, where it is strong and otherwise not. I was very impressed with my Teg's ability to stick considering its limited street tires and half-stockish rear axle tuning minus the comptech sway/tie.
There were your NSXs, S2Ks, Tegs, Miatas, Vettes, Porsches, BMWs, Audis... anything you can think of really, opened up full tilt. One of the main things that impressed me was the attention to SAFTEY. What a class event. I cant wait for a set of real racing tires and rims with a more revised suspension setup so I can start feeling how to mod the car from there. I am stoked and am happy to finally be part of "taking it to the track" ... awesome
Looking forward to April!

So...let me get this straight. You didn't even go out on track, yet you are still this excited?!?! All you did was watch?!?
Oh, my. If you thought THAT was fun, you are going to OD on fun when you get out there. Just a warning...

Matt-jealous of those in warmer climates who still get to play at the track.

His car was parked over by the trailers out in the grass. Pretty nice GSR with swap.
This was my first time as well, except I tracked my EX. It was loads of fun.
I woudn't recommend starting off on race tires for your first event. You need to learn the limits of your car as it is before jumping to an R compound.

Definately was excited, even if I just watched... the parade laps with my car was enough for me to feel like I got my feet wet in the car. Got a taste and thats all I needed. Yea Mike, I would have definately liked to get thrown around in your ITR, after 12 laps in the open session as a passenger in Joshua's S2K I was actually pretty... um needing the break. I am not much of a passenger if you get my DRIFT
hehe. Yea guys I was really impressed with the whole event something I can definately see myself getting involved in on a deeper level. By April I feel like I will make some revisions to my suspension/brakes/tires I am pretty happy with my power right now, I may just get another set of RE730s. (possibly drop in a chipped OBD1 computer) They are such a good tire though I would kinda feel bad destroying them on a track day... hehe. Anywhoo. All I did were the two parade lap sessions in my car and even if totally limited on what I could do at speed, it was enough to be a part some something cool. Next time I will better know what to expect which is all I wanted from Sunday. I have a few maintainence issues coming up also with the car, but other than that... good times... Merry Christmas youzeguyz

i was out there with the gen2 integra club. it was los of fun and the parade laps were cool. hopefully next time i can actually race my car :-D
Yeah, what a great day.... i wish I would of known more in advance so I could have participated more. Mike's (EleanoR)'s car is a lot of fun to ride in.... Made me more and more anxious for ITR expo in april.
I was looking forward to running at least one Chin event this year, but it looks like everything being added to the schedule is single-day events. I can't drive that far for one day. I'm regretting not signing up for their road atlanta now.
...sentiments like these :
You better run far away from the tire deprevity that is track day life.
