and i will be just another damn kid driving one of them damn hondas.
The loan for the car was approved today, i will probably pick it up next week sometime. Look to have it on track for the level 1 instructor clinic in february, ECHC in 2004.

It's like there's a bunch of us sitting in the Vice Principals office waiting to have our justice dispensed, and as we here the door open we look up...."Hi RJ!".....

Vince's old car I see. He definitely had a lot of nice parts on it.
Are you going to track or SoloII it? If solo, I have some suggestions for the suspension setup, because that car would do weird things on the corners. The shocks are very trick, but the coilover setup...well...you'll see once you try it.

Congrats, RJ. And welcome to the dark side. So, when ya gonna get a West Wings body kit for that baby?!!
Casey, who reminds RJ it's not too late to ask Santa to bring you some Altezzas as well... <snicker>

I just don't agree with helper springs on a Solo2 car. I have driven a car with them and it returns a weird feeling slalom and in mid-corner--it almost upsets the car because solo turns are so abrupt.
Also, hypercoils? Good springs for an Indy car or a rally car. But do they work ok for a Solo car?
Oh, and shave about 500lbs from the car if you can

That's a heck of a deal you got there if you got all that stuff for $9800 or less!
The suspension must have cost him big $$$! How many miles on it? The 1993 Prelude VTEC was the lightest VTEC Prelude sold in the US. At least 50 lbs. lighter than the 94-96 models.

Congrats, now I have to stop giving you so much ****.

F plastic cars.
And fwiw, the springs are 350/375 lbs/in front/rear, IIRC. He has two setup notebooks (probably locked in a vault) and was*still* intentionally vague on some suspension questions i had when i looked at the car. Very interesting individual, he is - and a wealth of knowedge at the same time. Vince gets a

He was really frustrated that he wasn't doing well. The car is pretty much prepped for STS and can be extremely competitive when in the right hands. Eric Kriemelmeyer (sp?) co drove it a couple of times and proved to others that it's capable.
Good luck,
AJ Nealey
when i saw the title of this post I was thinking you were going turbo... isn't that what all the FI guys say over in the FI forum? something about the dark side? i rarely venture over there...
congrats, it's no ThYPE-R y0, but at least it's a honda - and the honda-tech mod needs a honda, not a saturn! heh

after Summit Point in november there is a different perspective/outlook/goals/focus coming with me to the track next year. One of the big ones being that HPDE's arent about skirting the limits of the car around the track all the time (which i was starting to do).
See you in H2 in a couple years, its a very fast car, be careful..

What are you using for a beater?
