ZC questions
Ok, A friend wants me to drop a ZC engine and tranny into his 89 crx. It's a SI with a blown 5 speed and the motor is almost worn out. I've done many B series swaps but never a ZC, so from what I understand the motor and tranny is pretty much plug and play but he will need different axles as the ZC uses equal length shafts? What axles does he need and are the 5 speed zc trannys any good? Thanks for any help. Also his si ecu should work but is there a better one to use? Thanks also If I am missing anything let me know. Thanks again
Check out this site it has everything there is to know about a zc swap.
I don't know what axles the zc tranny uses. But for the ecu, tell him to get a zc ecu or a 5-speed 88-89 integra ecu. i got my teg ecu at a junkyard for $50.
The si one will work, but the motor won't run to its potential.
