What difference will their be if I get a whole cat back or if I just get a muffler. Will I need new piping if I just get the muffler? What differences will there be regarding power, and sound?

wrong forum but since its christmas time........exausts really dont give you any power they just make noise(sometimes good sometimes bad) so if you ge a cat-back system like apex-i, or if you jus buy a muffler and get some custom piping itll probley do about the same. And youll need custom piping if you get just a muffler to match its size ex... 2.5" fr 2.5" muffler. hope this helped

 

it just depends on what kind of exhaust you want. if you want something quite than stay away from n-1 types.
a lot of people here has the A'pex-i N-1's and they're nice exhaust.
i have the cat back and most people get that so they dont have to do any modification to their current piping. it just bolts right on from the cat.
its a bit more expensive but worth it because most cat-back exhaust comes tuned for the car.
