Alright, so I just purchased a custome mandrel bent cat back exhaust from member kteller8, and I will be running an es oval muffler.

However, I am in need of a tip that doesn't suck. Does anyone know of any? I am looking for something with a 2.5" inlet with around an outlet in the neighborhoods of 3 inchs. Other requirements include:

Round
Not slash cut
Stainless steel
Weld on, not bolt on.
Non-Resonated
No LED's
Cheap - I think spending $100 on a tip is rediculous.

I'm running a Magnaflow oval on my hatch and just got a 3" or so extension welded onto the 2.5" outlet. Same size and everything, you can't even tell it wasn't the original outlet that came with the muffler. Except that it clears my bumper now

 

No LEDs? sorry cant help ya. there are millions of tips. just go to a muffler shop, as most have like a poster with a hundred of em. i personally like the thermal r&d/rsr tips

thermal/rsr tips are $$$. I found a tip made by Hedman Headers. Round 2.5" in, 3" out. Stainless steel, with a rolled tip. Here is a pic :

I fuond the hedman headers tips for like $17 shipped from carparts.com. Thermals run like $70-$80. Not sure about RS*R but I would guess it is about the same. You would think I wouldn't stoop as low as pep boys, but yes, I already tried there. Nothing good there.

ill phil - I think you bought those C8's from my friend Chris. That exhaust looks great on your car, but with the muffler placement on a g2 (going side to side, not front to back near the bumper) I want a tip that is just a tad bigger to fill up some of that space.
