i have a 4th gen, but i give it the i ran mine at limerock park and the were awsome. i autoxed them om my car a couple times (when i didnt feel like putin the r's on) and i ran them on a ek si(6g) and they were good on that too.

i spoke to some sentra folks this weekend with sr swaps (turbo..mmmm) and they love them helps get the power down.

tire performance has little to do with the specific car. search this forum (archived) and every question about Azenis will be answered for you.

What are you going to use the tire for? In this post you asked about the same tire for street racing?

Hell you can put Azenis on a domestic and the car will drive better. Azenis will enhance the performance of any car made in any year and of any size. But I will say on a 2 door coupe you do get a miminal advantage over a 4dr version.

I run 15x7" Kosei K1 (45mm offset) 205/50x15" Azenis and 3mm spacers. I wanted to go with a 215/45x15" tire but it would mess up my gearing.

That size works for me though right now.

Azenis are so much better than the stock Shitelins, it's not even funny; both tires have the same treadwear rating, but the Azenis absolutely kills it in the grip department. If you want more grip, then wider Azenis probably won't satisfy you enough - the 205/50-15 size is just a little under 220mm wide to begin with. As long as you don't mind having separate sets of street and race tires, I would recommend moving up to the next best option - a Kumho Victoracer V700. My set of 185/60-14 V700s had noticeably better grip than my 205/50-15 Azenis do.

I'm going to be running in DSP this year, and still looking around for an affordable set of 13s that will clear the Si's brakes. I have a feeling I won't find them either.

If you really want to run sticky tires on the street:
Toyo RA1s
Yokohama A032R (I heard they came out with a better compound tire)
Kumho VictorRacers

Now these tires only have a tread wear rating of about 80-100. So don't expect them to last long. But at least they should resist tire popping compared to Hoosiers.

Top ones run Panasport 3 piece wheels in 13x8-9. They are not cheap, but they are great wheels. They only "Cheap" wheels that will clear the brakes that I have heard are the Lenzo 13x7.5. They are made for drag racing, but several guys out west have had good success running them. They are not optimum for width, but you are going cheap, so beggars can't be choosers. Another option is to keep an eye out for a nice set of used Panasports on places like sccaforums.com. Some will come up once in awhile.

Good luck.

Right now I'm on the OEM Shitelins for street tires; once they're gone I intend to pick up a set of Kumho 712s. For R-rubber I ran a set of Victo V700s (185/60-14) on my old car, but I traded them away because their wheels wouldn't clear the new Si's brakes. I'm going to run on what's left of my 205/50-15 Azenis for race tires until I can get another set of V700s to replace them. Wish I could afford 13s and Hoosiers . . .

Heheh, the V700s with their treadwear rating of 50 . . . interestingly enough, I was forced to mount them on my old car just to get it to pass state inspection - which goes to show you how bald my street tires were at the time.

Yeah, a local CSP CRX driver is running Panasport C8 13x8.5 - very nice wheels but definitely not cheap! I believe they run ~$270 apiece. I'll have to keep an eye out for a used set, I suppose . . .

You'd think after damn near a full year of posts about the Azenis that everyone on the F'in planet Earth would know about them by now, wouldn't you.
