Default Tell me somthing.

Is is ok to advance the timing on my Z6. My friend did it to his DelSol and now his Idle jumps 1000 to 2500.

it's ok to advance it 2 degrees-NO MORE if you're running 92 octane, or you're not pinging. And that shoul;d have ZERO to do with the idle jumping around unless he just went completely nuts on it

i agree timing will not cause idle jump. maybe clogged iac valve or needs to adjust fast idle valve and idle air screw
