Default 96 Hatch with new motor...got question

I will be competing next year in some SCCA Auto-X.
I just put in a new b18b into my hatch.
I know that i'm in the street mod class now.
my question is involving tires.

Can I now run slicks with my hatch?

I read through the rules and it specified sizes and stuff, but I'm not sure if its legal. Well im pretty sure its legal now, cause im in street mod. And the class looks pretty unrestriced. well thanks guys

DOT tires only - Hoosier AS303 or Kuhmo V700's are your best choice.

sounds good
I used Azenis this previous year and I was very impressed with them. but now that im out of that stock class. I figured DOT approved slicks would be better.

btw
how much do they usually run and what would be the best rim size 13-14-15?

For the Hoosiers, I would give Ron @ AIM (American International Motorsports) a call. His shop is up @ Sears, eh Infinion Raceway in Sonoma. His phone # is 707.938.9193. He does ship if you don't want to run up there. BTW, he is a font of knowledge.
