Routine Matinence ? What should be done
As far as routine matinence goes, what should be done to keep a car running well. Besides getting the oil changed that is, what else is good to get done periodically?
just check all your fluid levels, check for leaks, oil change, check the bottom of ur car and you can usually tell if anything needs service. Follow your recommended service procedures in your manual.

I work for honda, and this is what we do every 7500 miles.
Top all fluids. Set tire pressure. rotate wheels, front to rear, rear to front. Use silicon lubricant on all weatherstripping. Use white lithium on all rubber bumpstops underhood, use it on door hinges, hood hinges, battery terminals, hoodlatch,
doorlatches. change oil and filter. adjust rear brakes (if drum).
Honda's are known for having very good weatherstripping on the doors. This friction can make the doors difficult to open sometime. In turn, you or your passangers may pull extra hard on the doorhandles to open the door, breaking your doorhandles. Lubing the weatherstripping with silicon not only assures the weatherstripping wont rot out and crack, but it makes the doors open with much less friction.
Oh, and every 30k you are supposed to do the same thing as every 7,500 miles, with the addition of a transmission fluid change, flushing the coolant system and installing new honda type 2 fluid, cycling the coolant system 2 times to get out any air, replacing engine air filter, replacing hepa filter if equipped, flush out the brakelines with a vacuum bleeder and install new brake fluid, and if you have enough miles your valves also need adjustment. Also if you have front and rear disc brakes, you can expect to wear out your brake pads every 30k,(unless you drive a lot of highway miles) but if you have drum rear they'll last you well over 100k. And of course at 90k your supposed to have your timing/belt water pump relaced, along with all new belts with this service.
