Default Another good book i read

Picked up "Stock Car Driving Techniques", and yes, its full of pictures of Nascar cars, even commentated by Gordon, Labonte and Rudd. If you can get past any vain distaste for Nascar and understand its still a higher level of racing then any of us will ever participate, its a great collection of useful information for a beginner and some nice little tidbits of insight of various parts racing strategy. I particularly like the chapter on race starts. A little more info than some other books out there. over 90% of the content is found on other books, even has a lot of familiar diagrams, but its a good collection of the good stuff. Do yourself a favor and pick it up at the bookstore and buy a mocha and sit for a while.

No way man, what if one of my friends sees me? Maybe I could hide it in a playboy or something so nobody knows I'm reading about nASScar

J/K, good tip. Is it easy to find?

i dunno if its easy to find. B&N seems to stock a decent collection of race books, just go to transportation section. this was the first time i actually noticed it. bright red spine and i think it has Gordons car on the cover.

"Drive to Win" by Carroll Smith and "Going Faster! Mastering the Art of Race Driving" by Carl Lopez and Danny Sullivan are both great, but I found an old book by Ayrton Senna that was the best but it's no longer in print and I don't remember the name of it.

Dennis Grant has a good listing of required reading here: http://www.wincom.net/trog/stu/books.html Along with some good info for SM guys.
