Master Po recalls the "sKiLLz mAsTA" as a student at the monastary (had some kind of complex with respect to Master Kan (kept reving on him in the parking lot)), and they had to send him packing. They remember him saying that he would "ownZ thEm" someday.

Scott, who is working on achieving oneness with his contact patches....."but Master, how can I be at four places at once?"......and then all of the sudden I awoke as if from a dream to realize that I had just missed the braking zone for T10......

 

No offense but check your facts man! Master sKiLLz mAsTA was NEVER a student at the Po Lin Monestary. He was - as was well documented in the 1987 biography "The Master Without" - Pipeline Press; by Albert Kramdiks - a student of Canyon Carver Temple in Tibet's Bowery District. After becoming a full monk, he moved to the Upper East Side. It was a deluxe temple in the skies from what I hear. He broke from the Order of Canyon Carvers (Po Lin) in 1985 to persue tailout jackassery on his own and began the Taildrift Lyceum (western style - this was presumably the first indication of dislike from the Po Lin) in 1991 . Master Ganray Po didn't even join the O of CC until 1986 where he indeed rose to great heights in very short time but he in fact never met Master sKiLLz mAsTA until 1997 at the Street Drag Benefit in Central Park. As for "reving" on anyone, that was in fact the hIGh PlAInZ DrFTa (please recall that Master Kan was in exile from 1978 to 1989 so it would be very difficult to associate any "reving" on sKiLLz mAsTA - DrFTa however was at the Po Lin temple at the time of the "reving" incident however and had a well documented distaste for the returning Master Kan as he felt it had "made his drifts weak as he had obviously adopted the spring rate of the west"). You are correct that the quote "I will ownZ all j00 someday" was said by sKiLLz mAsTA but that (from my understanding) was in jest and was said when he went to study snow drifting in Har Bing not when he left in 1985. I know most of this from a luncheoun after his speaking engagement at Street Atlanta in 2001 (which Master Po begrudingly agreed) - he (Master sKiLLz mAsTA) has resided in the Southeast US since 1999. It is upsetting to see how much revisionist history dictates fact

Karl, no one has ever proven that sKiLLz mAsTA was indeed the Racer Gimp - that's only speculation.

Edit: and before all of you ask, NO I have not nor will I ever read "Tales from the Cliffside" as I know that it is largely based on propaganda issued from the Po Lin and strongly distorts the true history of O of CC.

everyone please observe: drug addiction is a horrible thing. watching the withdrawl of these once upstanding individuals unravel before your eyes is even worse.

 

Rumor has it that you can dispense with the brake zone entirely for T10a at Road Atlanta and just cut across the gravel pit, totally eliminating T10b, and pick up the course again before T11. Well, at least you can do this on some Nintendo/PC-type racing games...
