turbo my 6th gen? I have a prelude tranny (shorter gear ratio)
Im trying to decided if i want to turbo my accord. I have the prelude 5speed with the ACT clutch and at the time I was 100% for the turbo, now looking at my rpms since my car has shorter gear ratios now im thinking to myself that its may be better to have a longer gear ratio tranny does it really matter? any advise? I guess I can allways get a boost controller and set it for like 4-6pounds daily and 8-9 race.
an h22a tranny on an f23? that must be a mess...
short ratios are for small, peaky powerbands with no torque
get an accord tranny if u plan to boost

so since my 90 honda accord isnt boosted and i got the f22a4 would it be alright to use the prelude tranny? Would my accord be quicker or slower? thanks

how about an h23a w/ turbo? or if you want an inbetween, a 94 (all 5th gen?) wagon tranny is an f22b2 tranny w/ a 4.266 FD instead of a 4.066. Pretty much inbetween a h23a and f22b1 tranny gear ratio numbers.
