ATTN: Travis (itr#231)
I ran a complete OEM setup on the ITR in SOLO II GS/DS. I didn't bother with stock legal upgrades since it was so sweet out of the box on V700s. I ran 225/205 F/R with 5mm spacers. I was also very mildly stiffer with the autopower roll bar. The CRX is sitting on GC coilover sleeves, Eibach 450F/500R springs, and OTS Koni Yellows. For now, stock F/R sway bars. 185/60/14 V700s on OEM Si wheels and 205/55/14 on 14x7 panasport ULs. In time when I'm more comfortable with the car I'm going to revalve all four Konis, move the 500s to the front and replace the rears with 700s and a ST rear adjustable sway bar. I know it means relearning to drive the car to some extent, but it's so foreign to me right now that I wanted a more forgiving setup to start.

weve met breifly, i was working at dobbs honda and went on a test drive with you when your itr had bad wheel bearings. And well i really want to make my 94 hatch a "conekiller" but also keep it somewhat streetable, but i want it to be really stiff, and i have been looking into Ground control coil's. What spring rates do you recommend???
Thx, chris

Beating Travis to the punch, take a close look at the rules, decide how much money you want to spend (same as picking a class) and then make your decisions.

Anyway, yes, Kirk beat me to the punch
Since I don't know (or don't remember) too much about your car I don't know what class you're running or plan to run. I'm going to assume either STS or SP if you're not swapped already. If that's the case, check the rules posted all over the net on what you can do within that class. Also, I barely know what I'm doing in the CRX as far as autocross goes since it's not really set up for autocross. I'm even less of an expert as far as hatches go, having never owned one. I can generalize by saying that an ideal autocross setup will likely be a little too stiff for comfortable street driving and too soft for the track (that's pretty much where my current spring rates fall, albeit a little stiff even for autocross given the low weight of the car). My advice would be to hit up some of the hatch autocrossers via IM and ask them how they like their setup. Also, feel free to drop by my place if you want to see the rex.
