When I'm turning and sometimes going over a bump at the same time, I hear a noise from under the hood. It doesn't sound like it's in the engine bay...possibly at the wheel area. But the noise is like a "clunk clunking squeek" noise. What could it be?

My car is stock.

 

axle/cv joint is messed up and binding when turning, or your spring coils are rubbing

 

how much will it cost to get those replaced? For the spring coils how do u stop it from rubbing?

 

How many miles are on your car? My car made funny noises when I turned them... but not when going over bumps... It turned out that they just had to lubricate something... And viola no more noise.

 

Eliminate all possible things first, one by one. First, check to see if either CV boot is torn and or worn. I'm not saying that if the boot is not torn you don't have a problem with CV axle, but if the boot is torn, it's a good chance that you have a CV problem. Sorry, not thinking straight right now. Did that make since??
