HELP: Engine noise when started up. when clutch is pushed in it stops...WTF
What the top says, My engine makes this growl and then when i push in the clutch it stops...my dad says i need a new clutch/throw out bearing.....need more responses by some of you experts on this site....thanks guys

I had the same problem on my 93 talon. The cluth was grabbing good, but the bearing was messed up.

It might be coming from your tranny
sounds like what I had- Input shaft bearing
makes noise only in 1st and 2nd gear and when clutch is depressed?

I had the same problem before...i replaced my clutch and for sure it was the throw out bearing...now the noise is gone...

Definately throwout bearing, I had same problem.....my throwout bearing finally siezed, and had to be replaced.
might as well do the clutch while you're at it, now is the perfect time for a performance clutch.
