I am wondering if there are enough Honda racers in the area to support a Honda-Challenge style race or series? NASA has not really been successful in Texas so far but they do plan on three events at Motor Sports Ranch in 2003.

 

id say that theres definitely a pretty good number of honda racers in texas for that kind of thing.

 

i've never tried it(i've autocrossed) but i'll definitely be good for it, along with a couple friends.

I would probably interested in making the jump if something like that was in Texas...

 

I talked to Shannon Matus, who runs NASA Texas, and she said they we could run a Honda-Challenge race with as little as 20 Hondas. Now I doubt we could get 20 Honda racers right away but she also said we could run as a sub group along with an other series until we have the numbers needed for our own race group. They also have race licensing programs available starting this year so you wont need another clubs license to race anymore. Umm...not to be a *****, but I'm not sure if you know what is involved in prepping a car for w2w racing. B/c your comment makes it seem as if it is as easy as 1-2-3...
