How many miles do original stock shocks last?
I come back from school to drive my car, and the shocks seem worse than I remembered, however I'm not sure if they're bad because the car still rides okay in most situations. I bought it used, and we haven't replaced the shocks, so I have no clue how old the shocks are. Any help would be appreciated.

They last as long as they want I suppose. I have 92K miles on my car plus its lowered, and I haven't changed the shocks, and the car still rides good.
my oem shocks didn't last even a year. I think i blew my new illuminas in the back. Of course..... 2.5 in drop could be the culprit. I also had 81k on the car when i blew the shocks. One thing for sure is when you start to bounce on the road, its time for the shocks.
well I just went from Sonar tires to Pirelli P7000 Supersports, and now I have serious "tire hop." When I launch, it feels and sounds like the tires start "hopping." My guess is the shocks can't absorb the greater amount of energy created by the gained grip of the new rubber.
