Right front end pops.Help ASAP
Ok. I jus put in 2 new upper balljoints and 2 new tie rod ends in my 92 accord. Now everytime i hit the breaks and come to a complete stop at the very end theres a slight popping sound. When i go in reverse there and hit the breaks theres several noticable pops. I cannot figure out what it is. It only does it on the right front. I got back underneath and noticed my camber kit (anchor bolt type) Was moving back and forth..Figured it was that. Had it warrantied and its now solid and it still does it. I cant figure out what it is. Everything feels solid underneath. No movments. Im trying to figure out a good way to explain it. So far ive done both outer tie rods, new koni struts, new upper and lower balljoints, new radiaus rod bushings (Poly) New sway bar frame and endlinks (Poly). Did i get a bad control arm or something on that side. Please HELP!!!
I would love to know how you replaced the upper ball joints without replacing the entire upper control arm. Anyways, I suspect your radius rod nuts might be loose. Those are the 17mm nuts right at the front of the radius rod, in front of the cross member. You have to remove the splash sheild to tighten them. It might also be your shock-top nut (the one right on top of the shock). All of these nuts have to be real tight to compress the bushings underneath... nuts can loosen and bushings wear out and you get unwanted movement.
