Default 1997 JDM b18c5 12k mileages, $5,500 from the shop, good deal?

I saw the motor at the shop, it look really clean. The motor is 1997 JDM b18c5 with 12k mileage on it. Yes, it is complete changeover with ecu, everything. It hard to find b18c5 with this low mileages. I am planning to purchase this motor soon. Doe the price sound right to you? Thanks.

are you sure it is JDM? if it is, the code should be b18c not as same as usdm b18c5. also, 97 itr complete swap should run around 46-4900 the most. I got a complete changeover 99 real JDM b18c Spec ITR for only 5300. let me know

I forgot to mention the engine code stamp read as "b18c" with no 5 on it.
Yes I am positive it jdm motor since it doen't say any number at the end of the C.
Thank for your help, I just go pick the motor from the shop.

why pay 5,500 for a complete changeover when it'll cost you only 4,100 at osaka

price is not everything........lots of other things to factor in when purchasing a motor, not saying 4100 isnt a good price, just saying it is not necessarily a "good" deal.....AS for the topic question, the price seems a little steep, although the mileage is extremely low given the year of the motor...I would negotiate, but thats just my 2 cents...

How can you be sure that it has 12K on it, that is the question.

Autothority shop sell this motor. Yes, I remember it cost 10 grands, I completely dropped my jaw when I saw the price, too expensive! Since they couldn't sell the motor due to the high price, they lower it every few months. I will ask them if they have legit paperwork for this motor. Is it possible to get new longblock b18c5 from Acura dealership? I want to start learning myself to built the motor.

i doubt the mileage on that engine

my car 97 jdm itr has done 107xxxkm when i bought it
most car dealers in NZ that sell 96-97 ITRs , most of them has been travelled at least 100xxx km

Damn, I can't believe that motors had exceed over that mileages.
I guess I have to look around for better deals. AJ, Ben, how much
you're selling the motor for 99 b18c5, is it JDM or USDM?
