APEXi REV/SPEED METER... Useful, or useless?
Hey guys, has anyone seen one of these:

I was tooling around at work today looking at various car sites and found this neat little apexi gadget. JDM Spec Performance in town here has it for $260 on their site, and with the addition of the G sensor it looks like it could be a neat little toy. The question is, will any of the readings it give me actually do me any good? Or is it just going to be useless blue VFD bling bling? I've always been a sucker for flashing lights, and I've got the VAFC in the R already... I just need something to put in the second DIN slot under my stereo

yeah right.. the second you get any kind of wheel spin those 0-400 or whatever numbers go right out the window. its use ful if youd like to have a digital display of you speed in km/h or your rpms. all that other stuff is junk. plus its got some baby bling bling factor.
I use the old style, which I will be selling, in my ITR. Mainly used it for recalling peak RPMs during a race. Oh, and I also use the speedometer correcting function so I know about how fast I am going. Useful? If you do not have a datalogger, yes, once you have a dattalogger, it has no utility.
