WTF: My motor feels like it's going to DIE!
alternator or battery problem. Try a new or used battery first and see if same thing happens. If it does, could be the alternator. If neither of those, then I dont know. good luck
i highly DOUBT it is consistently nearly hydrolocking.. but if it is, your engine IS about to die..
more than likely it is an electrical issue stemming from a failing alternator or weak/old battery.. check those first..
if you're really worried about the water, pull your spark plugs and look for water on them.. i really don't think that's your problem though, unless you've been plowing through 1 to 3 ft deep puddles..

Do you have a VAFC? I do, and my car has the problems you mentioned, except sometimes it will actually drop all the way down and shut off. I sourced the problem to the VAFC wire connections being loose/bad.
first of all do you have a music system of some sort? Bad ground.
when did this start occurring? did you install something prior to symptoms you are now getting ? if it was after all the rain.......check alternator and all electrical wiring in the engine compartment
