Let me just say that I got some Comptech headers as part of the Goodson Acura deal and, wow, do they wake the car up or what. Serious pull in VTEC. And the sound has changed too, much deeper with the Taitec GT Lightweight.
Tanman, love that color man. Nice.

I was really considering buying a set of headers, did it make that much of a difference?
I was thinking to just keep the money and buy some sort of FI.

Yeah, it really did. Even my NSX hatin' buddies felt a huge difference. Especially in the first to second gear lull. Comptech says 18rwhp increase (I think it's rwhp) w/o exhaust. I think some have dyno'd 24rwhp with exhaust.
I was tempted to save my money too but after driving in a BBSC at NSXPO and hearing about a lot of FI problems I thought maxing the car out w/ bolt on's was the more reliable choice. And since my car gets a lot of track duty, reliability means more fun. I'm s l o w l y learning that having more HP doesn't equate more fun, sometimes it does but not always. Especially at the cost of reliability.

Get a Comptech supercharger if that is your concern. All the other kits are still a work-in-progress, though some of them have lots of potential.
That was the other one that had questionable reliability though. Talk of throwing belts is making me look elsewhere or just making me be patient.
Among the CTSC owners at NSXPO only one I spoke with didn't have a belt thrown at the track. Only one. I talked with an infamous vendor about it and he stated that a certain "flamemobile" threw belts all the time at the track.
I'm certainly not saying that the CTSC is bad. But for 8K I want more than 330rwhp and frequent pit stops to realign the SC belt.

How many CTECH SC owners did you talk with at NSXPO? There weren't all that many there, and you didn't talk with me.
I think if you take out the belts that fail because either (1) the belt wasn't changed as often as it should have been or (2) the belt wasn't maintained at the right tension (yes, this includes the flamemobile) then I think you will have very few failures left - not more than anything else that fails on the car. Heck people have blown engines at the track but that doesn't mean the engine has a problem, it just means if you stress enough things hard enough some will fail, no matter what it is.
Hey do what you want, I just think your opinion is being skewed by a bad data sample and some hearsay, but I'm not trying to sell you one or anything.

What I thought I heard at the FI seminar at NSXPO was that the belts fail if they're not tensioned properly when installed, buuuuuut... when they fail, it just means that you don't get the boost from the SC, the car is still drivable. So it's not exactly the end of the world.
Not if its a CT or Gruppe M these SCers require all the air to move through them. If a belt brakes the air can not get around the rotors so the engine won't run. The BB is a Centrifugal SC basically a big fan. So if the belt breaks the air can still get through the blades.

So it looks like 9 NSX owners. That's not too bad at all.
Is it just me or is NSXSC reeeaaallly slow nowadays? The Cybernation info was good stuff though.

NSXSC is slow, I blame it on the Moderators. Lud does an excellent job of moderating Prime. What I don't understand is their is mutiple Mods on NSXSC and only one on Prime and Prime's content is so much better.
A funny note guess what color cars I hate?
Black, and I ended up with two of them

NSXSC and NSXPrime should meld...i like both, but one gripe about prime is the load time on contents papge..and i use a bloody T 2!
If they could fix that and mat in all of NSXSC's info then it would be all good.
BTW anyone notice this is an NSX thread that isnt starting a flame war
haha j/k

I don't think it has a whole lot to do with the moderators. I agree that Lud does an excellent job. However, NSXSC just doesn't get the same kind of volume that NSXprime does. So there's not much to moderate. (Although they do seem to allow the flame wars that Lud would quickly squelch.)
The only part of Prime that loads slow is the General section. Its not that bad.

Although it would be kinda cool to see SC and Prime merge into one site, I think a little competition is good for the sites and for us. Prime changed quite a bit for the better when SC was first introduced.
