I just "T-Boned" a lady last night in my 96 EK, a couple of questions i asking myself is, should i have the Ins. put the 99 front end on since it should be the same priced parts, or fix it back to stock sell my GSR and use the money form the wreck and money from selling the motor and do an H22 swap. What do you'll think?
I'd want to double check the parts prices, because I'm pretty sure 99-00 Civic Parts cost more.
BTW I'm not sure how your insurance company works, but when someone T boned me, I just needed a new door, but my company (Met Life) just cut me a check for $2300, and my agent (a friend) said they don't care if I fix the car or even go buy hookers, as long as it was settled.

get the 99-00 front end. might as well get ek9 headlights 'cause they cost the same as usdm headlights from the dealership.
Can you price EK9 headlights for a USDM dealership? Or order for that matter??

the parts are exactly the same. except for headlights which are 3 dollars more and if you want an si lip or si grill you will be paying more. other than that its the same. also if you are changing the front end get a 99-00 radiator support if you need one. it makes things alot easier when you are trying to get the lights to fit.
my insurance or at leats in MARYLAND will want to pay for the car not cut you a check, they make the check out to both you and the body shop, but you can request the check in your name and cash it then spend it however u want, but most cases and most states you probably need to request it this way or insurance will try to do whatever is in their interest not yours.
As far as the front end goes, try and talk to the body shop prior to inspection, and have them give a fake estimate to insurance for the price you are trying to get so that no extra money will come outta yours car.
And finally yes sell that stooopid GSR since two cars is dumb, and build a B motor correctly and you will be way happy, also spend a lil more on repainting the entire car since youll most liekly need to repaitn half of it for this injury
