Default Sway Bar And Shocks

I've already ordered a 22mm rear sway bar for my hatch but I need a front sway bar. Who makes a good bar that will match up with my rear bar?

Also before I go ahead and order them will 92-93 Integra shocks fit on a 92 Civic?

Raid the Acura parts bin for a front swaybar. '94-'97 non-VTEC Integras have like a 22.1, 22.6 mm something like that. VTEC and '98-up non-VTEC have a 24mm. Otherwise the '99-'00 Si coupe has a 26mm front bar.

'92-'93 Integra shocks won't be a direct fit. They're a good bit shorter.

I'm also fairly happy w/ my suspension tech swaybars. The front should work well. It's 3/4 in. which won't overpower your rear bar. The only thing that I'm not too happy about is the fitment. It sits under the cat and the endlinks hang down quite far. I've lost a little more that an inch clearance. For the price it's a great deal, but I think if I had to do it again I would look at something that routes over the cat and has a little better fit (eibach, stock, etc.)

G

Edit: and like what was said before, the shock won't work. I've looked into it

I would defintaly get a fornt sway bar, with just the rear and stock shocks you car will very prone to snap oversteer in corners. I would get am acura bar, the Del Sol VTEC or GSR bar should work well with that rear sway bar.

I belive that the Shocks for a 92 civic will fit your car also but I am not 100% sure on that.

will the shocks bolt up? I don't really care if they're shorter.

Do you know if the GSR and ITR share the same front swaybar?

I know GSR is 24mm..but I've heard that the ITR is 25mm...

Either way, I think OEM is best

There is always the front bar off the EX's and Si's. I can sell you my old one if you like! BTW, ST bars rock!

Unfortunately no, they won't bolt up. They are also narrower which wont allow you to bolt them to the upper mount or fit your springs on them.

I run a 26mm '99-00 Si front bar, which is the same as a CTR front bar. On the rear I run a 22mm ITR bar with Beaks subframe reinforcement kit. Buddy Club racing spec dampeners at all four corners, along with Cusco tie bars and Okuyama/Carbing tower braces. The car handles phenomenally! In fact, I'd go so far as to say it edges out my '93 RX-7 R1 with Tokico's & Eibachs. Very neutral at the limit, but with a hint of understeer. Here's a couple of pics of my rear setup:

So a Gs-R bar is 24mm, Will that over power my rear 22mm or no?
Also if I use a gs-r don't I need integra lca's? Do civic shocks bolt up to integra lca's and vice virca? If so I could buy Integra shocks and run them until I get integra lca's, 94-01 Integra shocks should bolt up right?

I suspect handling traits would be very similar between an EG and EK hatch, given equal sway bar sizes. With a 26mm front and 22mm rear swaybar my EK is very neutral when you load up the chassis in turn, with just a hint of understeer. Theoretically a 24mm front bar would give you a little more oversteer, which a lot of people prefer anyway. Personally, I don't trust my driving skill enough to be able to handle a tail happy oversteering car

AmginE - that was at Lightspeed.

Ok....so it's a toss up between suspension techniques and progress. Sites for both so I can check them out?

Now I went and got a price on shocks today. I can't afford Koni Yellows so my choices are either KYB AGXs or Koni Reds. Which will be the best for my money? The difference in price is about a 100 bucks.

im using type R real lower control arms and gsr front control arms. both have stock ITR sways bars (24mm front, 22mm rear). ive also got coilovers for an ITR. GSR front sturt bar, obx rear upper. all these mods made my 93 cx hatch handle great.
