But the UPS guy that was suppose to bring it came to my house and it was raining and his truck slipped and he ran strait in my........

Talked to a lawyer today now UPS is going to pay for a car and new rods and pistons new Ground Effect and not to mention TURBO too...

...Had good memories of that car......

 

Did you have insurance on the package?

 

I highly doubt they will buy you are turbo kit and pistons.

They will give you the money for the motor, nothing more, nothing less.

 

wait so they totalled your car.. and the engine was damaged as well? Jesus talk about a bad day.. good luck on getting it settled.. sometimes it's takes a whole to get the money even after the settlement

 

No they didn't totalled the motor the motor is in perfect condition but my car!!!

They are only gone pay for the car (out of Court) and emotinal damage (In Court)

I dont wanna ruin your fun, but i believe UPS doesn't ship engine or anything that heavy. How would a guy unload the engine of the truck? I went to UPS once to ship my 4g63 (talon) engine and they wouldn't do it.

I would take how much my car is worth, and the damages. I would not look for emotional damage unless someone was injured.

I think this is BS. 1st UPS doesn't ship motors, and 2nd after UPS hits the his car, he will get money for pistons, rods, turbo, body kit, emotional mumbo jumbo...common.

 

just the other day i went outside to warm up my beater car (94 dodge shadow) when i hear this loud *** screaming engine. i look up and wait because its coming closer. my driveway is like a 200 ft hill so i didnt know what it was until it got at least halfway up. it was some young *** UPS driver spinning tire all the way up my driveway in like 1st gear. i didnt really think much of it. he was dropping off some important parts for my upcoming swap. but then he asks, "hey, can i turn around next to that civic right there." i said no. he asked, "then how do i get down your driveway? i cant back down" i said **** that, leave the goddamn truck here and walk, don't go anywhere near the civic. so he just turned around next to the shadow.

blah.. my driveway is really weird, you gotta see it to imagine a UPS truck turning around next to where my civic is.

ok first of all ... who ISNT looking for easy money... hes not taking it out of somebody's pocket. the insurance company, who, by the way rips off thousands of people each day(my friends stolen hatch-gsr being one of them), is the only one that is going to suffer.

and yes, emotional damage.
he has to make time to go to court, and do all the legal bullshit that they put you through, its ******* stressful as hell, not to mention you cant even drive your car. all you can do is look out the window and see pieces of it hanging off.

dont pity the ****** insurance company...for crying out loud thats almost as worse as pitying thieves.

 

That and the people who get their rates raised because of people having "emotional damage" over getting a car totaled that they weren't even in.

It is people like you who commit insurance fraud and make my cost go up because I drive the same kind of car you do. I guess some people dont understand that money has to come from somewhere. Insurance companies are not just given new money from the mint when they need some.

You friend with the GSR-Hatch might not have had a problem if it wasn't for people who commit fraud.

In my opinion, I think you should get actual damages paid for. Cost of car, and whatever other actual damages have occured. None of this emotional B.S.

ill just repeat what everyone else said. ups doesnt ship engines. too heavy unless they have a freight division that i wasnt aware of. i work for fed ex and i dont know of any ups that would do a motor. but i will agree that he would b able to get SOME money for the compensation. big delivery companies try to get stuff like that outta they and not make a big deal outta it. just take what u can get and dont force more outta the issue. cause if u do u will prob get nothing. big company = more money, more lawyers than u.
