anyone ever used a sump pump to pump oil?
i need to find out where to get a sump pump for my friend's maxima.
the turbo sits lower than his oil pan, so he needs to drain oil to a can/resevoir below the turbo and use a sump pump to pump it from there into the oil pan.
thanks

we use a simple electic pump on our setup...it scavanges the oil out of the turbo....lots of road racers with turbo cars use them....I dont think it even cost more than 75 bucks from Summit....Here at home I dont know the part number...but if you call me at the shop, ill tell you what the part number is....There is also very expensive pumps out ther too...no need to use them..

Look at the dry-sump oiling systems in Summit. The dry sump system can have an electric pump. I've never done it, but someone told me you can use a power steering pump (but why?).
